King Ghidorah or Ghidrah is a daikaiju that appears in several Godzilla movies - produced by the Toho Studio.

Ghidorah is a powerful creature who has gained the title of “the King of Terror”. Often he is displayed as the greatest rival of Godzilla.  Ghidorah is a golden three headed dragon, with long necks, wings and two tails. He has over 30 feet of height and weights over 30,000 tons. Their heads emit alarming shrieks at different frequencies.

In the most recent films, Ghidorah has experienced several transformations in his origin and aspect. At a first moment, this dragon was created as a creature from outer space, responsible for the destruction of many civilizations at many planets, including Venus. It is said that he arrived at the Earth by mounting a meteorite and devastated a Japanese field. Soon after that, he engaged a battle royal between Godzilla, Mothra and Rodan.

Since 1991, it is said that a Godzilla’s reincarnation defeated this monster with a great punch in the head. Since then, Ghidorah went to the ocean in which he will remain for one hundred years.
